Frequent Transfer Questions
What is a transfer request?
A domain transfer request will allow you to move your domain name to 123cheapdomains.com, so that you can get full control over the management and renewal of your domain name through our simple Domain Manager. If you have other domains here, you can manage them all together under one account, or you move the domains you control into separate accounts. The transfer will also auto-renew your domain name for 1 year upon a successful transfer to here.
How do I submit a transfer for my domain name?
Click on the "Single Domain Transfer Tool" tab on this page to begin a transfer request for your domain. To complete the transfer, you will have to approve an email sent to the "Administrative email" contact listed in your domain's WHOIS record. In order to approve this email, you will need to get an Authorization / Auth Code from your previous domain registration company, and enter that Auth Code into the confirmation email sent to you.
How do I find out which email address is listed as the "Administrative Contact" for my domain?
Do a lookup using our WHOIS Lookup tool. It will show your domain's registration contact info. The confirmation email will be sent to the Admin email listed for your domain. If the admin contact is incorrect, or you can not receive email at that address, then you must get that admin email contact corrected before you submit a transfer.
Where do I get the AUTH Code to complete the transfer?
You can request the Authorization / AUTH code from your previous domain registration provider. You then look for a transfer confirmation email from us, and then use the AUTH code to confirm your acceptance of the transfer.
How long does a transfer request take?
The domain transfer can take several days, or up to one week depending on how fast the other registration company releases the domain.
